Tyrant of Terror is Mad Science Games' flagship title. We are developing it for PC first and then we plan on porting it to mobile devices as well as consoles. This mockup shows the chaos that is Tyrant of Terror!

Moonblade is a game I have been working on just for fun. It's a JRPG in the style of Final Fantasy or Suikoden. It's a game that has evolved a lot over the years. The battle system meshes old school turn based combat with action, it's similar to the PS1 classic Xenogears. Whenever I need a break from Tyrant of Terror I like to work on Moonblade.

User Interface
This is the interface that player's will encounter most often during their time with the Tyrant. This interface lets you summon minions and set traps on the battlefield. Any summoning action taken will cost spirit points. (top left corner) On the bottom left you will see the Tyrany meter. This meter fills up over time, when it is full it pulsates and emits the sound of a roaring demon. When the meter is full you can click on it to summon the Tyrant himself into the battle for a short time. The Tyrant is a force to be reckoned with on the field. In addition to that you can see a button for the main menu (top right) and a collapsable mini map. (bottom right) Click here for a more detailed breakdown.

Cubugs was a really cool puzzle game that I produced over at Tylted. I did the UI/UX, art direction, and parts of the game design. The game was integrated with social networks and had an in game chat. This game was a big succsess for Tylted!

This was concept art I did for a project a while back. This illustrates the antagonist of the game, he imagines himself to be much bigger and badder than he actually is. Then some dark magic happens and he actually becomes the fearsome beast of his dreams.

I have been working on the upcoming iOS game Heart Of The Forest as a game designer, UI/UX designer, producer, and sometimes artist. This is a mockup of the gameplay screen, I did everything you see here. Heart Of The Forest is a free-to-play puzzle game that will follow the adventures of Steeltip from the Tellest universe. One of the goals of this game is to bring an already established brand into a new medium, and to bring some attention towards the Tellest books. Tellest is a really fantastic fantasy world and I urge you to check it out!

This is the map fully assembled map made for a short treasure hunt event. Notice the blackened and torn edges. A texture applied to the whole thing makes it look more crinkled. Users would have to find this map in 24 pieces, and then the location of a treasure (in the form of a virtual pet dragon) would be revealed. I was inspired by old looking maps in games such as Shadow of Colossus.rit in voluptate velit esse cillum dolore eu fugiat nulla pariatur. Excepteur sint occaecat cupidatat non proident, sunt in culpa qui officia deserunt mollit anim id est laborum.

Mash of the Monsters

Mash of the Monsters is an HTML5 game that I worked on at Tylted. I functioned as Producer, but I was also responsible for UX and Art Direction. This means I handled all wireframes flows as defining the game's look and feel. The game was online for Halloween 2012, players were able to create unique monsters and battle them for a chance at winning it all. Champion monsters were able to retire at the retirement village.

I did animation on the electroc toy My Meebas! This toy is pretty neat. You would raise a little creature through different stages of life, when you complete the game a small stuffed animal comes out!

This is a UI for a game done on iOS. It's similar to single player scrabble but it has wizards and monsters in it for added flavor.

Testing Results
Here are some interesting stats on ToT! After the alpha was built I ran a test at a local gaming event. I gathered a group of 20 players, showed each one how to play the game and then let them play a 3 minute game. If the player survived for 3 minutes, they won. I recorded various stats, for each player and got some interesting results. These stats resulted in numerous changes in the game. Partilarly in the Evil Laughter mechanic and in the way players play cards during gameplay. You can read an in-depth analysis of this test over at here.
